Griezmann: Simeone's Unwavering Confidence
Diego Pablo Simeone, Atlético de Madrid’s coach, has reaffirmed his total confidence in Antoine Griezmann, despite his recent goal drought. The Argentinian coach explained that he continues to bet on the French forward because he believes in his game and his ability to be decisive on the field.
Despite Griezmann, the club’s all-time top scorer, not being in his best moment in terms of goals (only one in the last 14 games), Simeone highlighted the importance of having the best players available to face the remaining commitments.
The coach is aware that the team needs Griezmann to regain his best form to achieve the set goals. Although statistics show a decrease in his effectiveness compared to the first part of the season, where the forward shone with 15 goals in 32 games, Simeone is confident that the player will reverse the situation.
The coach hopes that Griezmann will once again be the differential footballer he has proven to be in the past and that he will be key to Atlético’s success in the upcoming matches. Simeone insists that, despite the lack of goals, Griezmann contributes a lot to the team and is a fundamental player.
