Simeone bets on a 'starting' eleven for the Copa
Atlético de Madrid coach Diego Simeone prepares a team with several heavyweights for the third round of the Copa del Rey against Marbella. In the two tests carried out, names such as Le Normand, Lenglet, Galán, Barrios, De Paul, Giuliano and Griezmann appear.
There would only be three newcomers compared to the base team of the 12 consecutive victories: Le Normand, in need of minutes to gain competitive rhythm, and Molina, behind and Koke reinforcing the four-man line in the middle. With Correa back in the group dynamics, the only absences in training would be those of Lemar, due to a contusion suffered in one of the last training sessions of 2024, and Giménez, still recovering from the strain suffered in Barcelona.
