Atlético de Madrid has struggled to score goals in the last two matches of LaLiga, with 39 shots and only one goal in total. Despite winning eight consecutive matches before the mid-season break, the red and white team has lost the top spot in the table and is now four points behind Real Madrid.
Diego Simeone’s team had not gone two games without a win in LaLiga since the beginning of October. In their last match against Villarreal, Atlético could not score more than one goal despite having 21 shots, nine of them on target.
