The Metropolitano, a stadium for all Atlético fans
Great news for the Atlético family! Atlético de Madrid, always thinking about its fans, has taken a giant step towards inclusion at the Metropolitano. In collaboration with Telefónica and La Liga, the club has implemented an innovative pilot project that seeks to eliminate barriers for fans with visual impairments.
Imagine being able to feel the passion of Atleti like never before, following every play with an audio-descriptive narration that immerses you in the match. But the innovation doesn’t stop there.
Thanks to a haptic tablet, fans can follow the position of the ball in real time, feeling every movement through a cursor connected to the game. This technology, successfully tested in the match against Rayo Vallecano on April 24, allows you to experience football in a completely new and exciting way.
The experience is complemented by vibrations that identify key moments of the match such as goals, free kicks and corners. The project, the result of the club’s digitization, will be available in all League matches next season, through 20 devices. The Metropolitano is thus consolidated as a reference venue, where technology is put at the service of the fans to create an unforgettable experience for all Atlético fans. One more reason to be proud to be from Atleti!
