The tribute to MotoGP champion Jorge Martín at the Metropolitano
Last Sunday was a special day for Jorge Martín, a lifelong Atlético de Madrid fan, who received the affection of the colchonero fans at the Metropolitano Stadium. The MotoGP world champion was able to enter the field on a Ducati Panigale V4, dressed in a red and white club shirt and his gold world champion helmet.
The Spaniard did not hesitate to make noise with the motorcycle before parking it in front of the locker room tunnel and picking up his champion trophy to head to the center of the Metropolitano field amid applause and cheers from the audience. Martín was emotional and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate his championship with the Atlético de Madrid fans, whom he hopes to celebrate with again in the future.
