Manolo Sánchez honored in Cacereño-Atlético de Copa del Rey
The second round Copa del Rey match between C.P. Cacereño and Atlético de Madrid at the Príncipe Felipe stadium also served to honor one of the legends of both clubs: Manolo Sánchez.
The former striker, who started his career with the Extremaduran team and made a name for himself with the red and white team, received a shirt from the club president, Carlos Ordóñez. In addition, Manolo, who is now the sports director of the Atlético de Madrid Foundation, performed the honorary kick-off of the match. Both teams also posed together with a banner from the Asociación ELA Extremadura, in support of research into this disease.
