Carmen Menayo renews with Atlético de Madrid Femenino until 2026
Atlético de Madrid Femenino has announced this Sunday the continuity of Carmen Menayo for one more season, until 2026. The second captain of the team, who is recovering from a knee injury, will continue in the team she joined in 2016, thus completing a decade as a colchonera.
Despite being only 26 years old, the defender is the third footballer with the most matches in the history of the club (202), the same as Amanda Sampedro. In her record she has five titles: three Leagues (2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19), one Spanish Super Cup (2021) and one Copa de la Reina (2022/23).
‘I am very happy, very happy to be able to continue in the club and with my teammates. I have lived incredible moments and hopefully many more to come’, said Carmen Menayo after signing the renewal with Atlético de Madrid until 2026.
