Atlético Madrid looks to continue winning streak against Getafe
Atlético Madrid hosts Getafe at the Metropolitano on Sunday, December 15 (14.00 hours / Movistar). Diego Simeone’s team is on a winning streak, with ten consecutive victories, and is looking to equal or surpass the 13 consecutive victories of 2015.
Atlético’s attacking duo, Griezmann and Julián Álvarez, are in great form, with 13 goals between them in the last seven games. Atlético will not have a midweek commitment, so some changes in the starting lineup are expected.
Simeone has his entire team available, with no injuries or suspensions. De Paul or Koke, and perhaps some changes in the attack to give minutes to Correa or Sorloth, may be the novelties in the lineup.
Atlético will have to be careful in defense, as they have conceded at least one goal in seven of their last eight games at the Metropolitano. Getafe has many reasons to surprise in their visit to San Blas, as they are 15th, with only a couple of points of margin from the relegation zone.
