Torres unveils his vision and future at Atleti B
Fernando Torres has renewed his commitment to Atlético de Madrid B until 2027, reaffirming his dedication to the Rojiblanco project. Following the announcement, the club shared an interview and a revealing test with the coach, where he made interesting confessions about his vision of football and his time at Atleti.
To the surprise of many, Torres did not hesitate to point to Jan Oblak as a potential coach of the first team. Torres’ admiration for the Slovenian goalkeeper is based on the time they shared in the Rojiblanco dressing room from 2015 to 2018.
During that time, Torres also shared experiences with other pillars of the current team such as Koke, Griezmann, Giménez, and Correa. In the test, Torres highlighted the influence of Luis Aragonés in his career, highlighting him as the coach who marked and motivated him the most.
However, Jürgen Klopp is his main reference today. Torres also shared the phrase he uses most with his players: ‘important things don’t come alone, you have to go looking for them’, reflecting his work philosophy and winning mentality.
