Javi Guerra: Valencia is my priority amidst Colchonero interest
Javi Guerra, Valencia’s young promise, has reiterated his desire to continue defending the Che shirt, despite the interest shown by Atlético de Madrid. In recent statements from the Spanish U-21 national team camp, Guerra recalled how he experienced his possible signing for the Colchonero club last summer.
“I spent days without training because the operation was going to take place,” the midfielder revealed, describing moments of uncertainty and tension. However, the operation did not materialize, and Guerra returned to Valencia, a decision he celebrated.
“It was decided that I would stay in Valencia and, the truth is, I was happy. It was what I wanted,” he stated. Despite Atlético’s persistent interest, Guerra remains firm in his commitment to Valencia.
“If Atlético calls again this summer? I’m not a resentful person and never say never, but I’m clear that I want to continue in Valencia, it’s my priority and if nothing strange happens, I’ll stay there,” he said.
The Valencian player, who has regained his best level, is preparing to compete in the U-21 European Championship alongside his teammates. These statements reinforce Guerra’s commitment to Valencia and his desire to continue growing at Mestalla, leaving Atlético de Madrid’s possible interest in the background.
