Javi Guerra: Atlético's Revenge?
Javi Guerra, the talented Valencia midfielder, is once again on the radar of several clubs after his recent stellar performances. His goal against Espanyol recalled his brilliance from past seasons, just in time for the summer market.
Valencia, known for being a selling club, will consider offers for the player from Gilet. Atlético de Madrid could return for Guerra. Last summer, the club showed strong interest and even reached an agreement, but the operation ultimately did not materialize.
Now, the market values Guerra at around 25 million euros, an attractive figure for a player with his potential. Carlos Bucero, Atlético’s director of football, remains attracted to the player and his projection.
Guerra, with a termination clause of 100 million and a contract until 2027, is 22 years old, an ideal age for a midfielder who gets into the opponent’s box. He is a regular in the under-21 team and is in Luis de la Fuente’s sights for the senior team.
Although the player and his entourage remain calm, Valencia acknowledge that offers could arrive in the coming months. If one gets close to 25 million, Peter Lim will have to decide whether to accept the sale. Remember that Villarreal owns 30% of the player’s economic rights, so Valencia would only receive a portion of that hypothetical sale. Will we see Guerra near the Metropolitano again this summer? Time will tell.
