Espanyol reloads to face Atlético
Espanyol prepared thoroughly for their match against Atlético, concentrating the night before at the RCDE Stadium. Manolo González compiled a list of called-up players with all available players, except for José Gragera, who continues to recover.
However, there was a last-minute change: Pablo Ramón, who was debuting in an official call-up since his signing in January and after overcoming an injury, was ruled out just before the match.
Despite this absence, Espanyol recovers key players such as Fernando Pacheco and Álvaro Tejero after overcoming their injuries. Roger Hinojo also returns to the call-up, as does Pol Lozano, who served a suspension in the previous match.
An initial starting eleven without reserves is expected, with Joan García in goal; Omar El Hilali, Marash Kumbulla, Leandro Cabrera and Carlos Romero in defense; Urko González de Zárate and Pol Lozano in midfield; and Jofre Carreras, Alex Král, Javi Puado and Roberto Fernández in attack. The Catalan team, with the ambition to face Atlético, bets on an offensive scheme and a starting lineup that reflects the importance of the match. The Pericos trust in the support of their fans to obtain a positive result in this important match.
