Griezmann, a key player for Atlético... and of records
Antoine Griezmann was once again one of the big protagonists for Atlético de Madrid. The Frenchman scored a double against Sevilla, reaching 195 goals in the league and equaling Edmundo Suárez ‘Mundo’ in the eleventh position of the all-time top scorers in the league.
In addition, Griezmann has become a mine of points for his teams, being the fourth footballer who has given the most points to his team with his goals, with a total of 131 points, surpassing Benzema’s 130. Griezmann’s goal to win was the 5,000th for Atlético in LaLiga, taking over from Simao Sabrosa, who had been the author of the 4,000th goal.
