Soria in doubt for Copa del Rey clash against Atlético
David Soria, Getafe’s goalkeeper, could miss the Copa del Rey quarter-final match against Atlético de Madrid due to a possible nasal fracture.
The goalkeeper suffered a blow during the match against Sevilla and, although he was able to finish the game with a bandage, his coach, José Bordalás, expressed concern and confirmed that medical tests will be conducted to determine the severity of the injury.
If Soria is unable to play, Jirí Letácek would be the starting goalkeeper at the Metropolitano. Additionally, Getafe is already dealing with other significant absences, including the suspended Diego Rico and Álvaro Rodríguez, and the injured Allan Nyom and Luis Milla. This Tuesday, the blue team will aim to pull off a surprise against an Atlético de Madrid side that arrives as the favorite.
