Atlético Defends its Integrity Against Attacks
Atlético de Madrid has issued a strong statement in response to accusations linking the club to a company associated with referee José Luis Munuera Montero.
Through its Compliance department, the club has conducted a thorough investigation, interviewing heads of Administration, Contracting, and Human Resources, to deny any commercial or contractual relationship with the company Talentus Sports Speakers.
The Compliance department’s report confirms that there is no connection between Atlético de Madrid and the aforementioned company, describing the information disseminated as false and far from reality.
The club regrets that its name has been used in a smear campaign directed at the Andalusian referee and defends the integrity of its management.
In addition, the Compliance department of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has corroborated Atlético’s position, confirming that there is no conflict of interest between the activities of Munuera Montero’s company and his arbitration work.
Atlético de Madrid has expressed its deep concern about this type of harassment campaign, which it considers detrimental to the image of Spanish football, urging that they not go unpunished. The club reaffirms its commitment to transparency and sportsmanship, rejecting any attempt to damage its reputation.
