Farewell to Andrea Berta: the Italian's legacy at Atlético de Madrid
Andrea Berta says goodbye to Atlético de Madrid after more than a decade at the club. The Italian, who arrived in 2013 from Genoa CFC, has been a key figure in decision-making when it comes to strengthening and renewing the squad.
His departure, agreed weeks ago, comes after the arrival of a new face a year ago. Atlético already has everything planned to replace Berta with a trusted man, such as Julio de Marco, Ignacio Camacho or Juanan Pérez. Berta leaves with an impressive record: one Copa del Rey, two La Liga titles, one Spanish Super Cup, one UEFA Europa League and one UEFA Super Cup. The club thanks him for his effort, commitment and dedication over the past 11 years.
