Severiano García, the new head of the Technical Secretariat of Atlético de Madrid
Atlético de Madrid has announced the appointment of Severiano García as the new head of the Technical Secretariat of the club. García, 38 years old and born in Mexico City, has been chosen to fill the position left vacant by Andrea Berta at the beginning of 2025.
The club has highlighted that his appointment ‘completes the process of restructuring the sports area’ that began last season with the incorporation of Óscar Mayo and Carlos Bucero.
García will be responsible for the identification, monitoring and valorization of players for all the club’s teams in Spain, Mexico and Canada, reporting directly to Bucero. The club has highlighted that his work in Atlético San Luis ‘has consolidated the growth’ of the ‘brother’ club in Liga MX in the last four years.
