Atlético without shots in the first half against Barça
Atlético de Madrid had a very weak first half in their match against FC Barcelona. A solitary goal from Pedri was enough for Hansi Flick’s team to take the lead at halftime. Diego Pablo Simeone’s team did not make a single shot in the first half, despite having 42% possession.
Seven crosses were launched by the mattress team, but none managed to generate a goal opportunity. Atlético had not won against Barça in their stadium for 18 years and with first halves like this, the drought could continue even longer.
