Atlético: Million-Dollar Revenue for Third Place in LaLiga
Atlético de Madrid closes the 24/25 LaLiga season in a commendable third position, accumulating 76 points and consolidating itself as one of the strongest teams in the championship.
After a promising start that led them to be winter champions after defeating Barcelona, the team proved to be a real alternative to the major title contenders. This privileged position not only represents a sporting achievement, but also an important economic boost for the club.
Thanks to audiovisual rights, Atlético will receive a considerable sum of money, exceeding 43 million euros, which added to the fixed income, reaches almost 80 million. This additional income is due to the fact that 13% of the 25% allocated to the final classification in LaLiga corresponds to the third-placed team.
In addition, the club benefits from another 25% of revenue for its outstanding social presence, which includes the sale of season tickets and tickets, high audiences, and collaboration with television channels.
This economic success will allow Atlético to continue investing in its squad and improving its infrastructure to face the challenges of the coming seasons. It is important to note that this money will be received over five seasons, with decreasing percentages year after year. Undoubtedly, a great sporting result that translates into excellent news for the club’s economy and for all Atlético fans.
