Atlético de Madrid to move to new sports city in 2026-27 season
Atlético de Madrid plans to move its teams to the new Ciudad del Deporte of the Metropolitano stadium in the 2026-27 season, as announced by the club’s CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín.
The sports city will feature a high-performance center, municipal facilities for neighborhood residents, and a wide range of leisure and entertainment options. Access works will be completed in the first months of 2025 and the inauguration is scheduled for the 2026-27 season.
