Griezmann back as Atlético captain
Antoine Griezmann has returned to the captaincy of Atlético de Madrid, after his return to the club in 2021. The Frenchman, who had left the team to sign for Barcelona, has once again won the hearts of the rojiblanca fans with his effort, commitment and goals.
Griezmann, who is already the top scorer in the history of Atlético (192), has once again worn the captain’s armband in La Rosaleda, after Savic’s departure in the summer. The forward, who is also one of the heavyweights of the dressing room, has been welcomed with open arms by Simeone and has become one of the four captains of the team, along with Koke, Oblak and Giménez.
