Goal Festival at the Metropolitano: That's the Atleti we love!
What a joy to see our Atleti like this! Simeone’s team put on a show of goals and good play at the Metropolitano, thrashing Betis in a vibrant match. Julián Alvarez broke out with a double, including a free-kick goal that reminded us of Pantic.
Correa also joined the goalscoring party, with the fans chanting his name in support. Griezmann, with a luxurious assist, once again demonstrated his quality, while Witsel had the opportunity to say goodbye to the fans playing a few minutes.
From the start, Atleti imposed its rhythm, intensely seeking the goal and generating numerous opportunities. The devoted fans enjoyed every play and celebrated each goal with passion.
It’s a shame we don’t see this version of the team more often away from home, but at least we are left with the pleasant taste of this resounding victory. Alvarez reached 29 goals this season, consolidating himself as a key piece in Cholo’s scheme. Let’s hope this is the path to follow for the future! Aúpa Atleti!
