Futre Raises Atlético's Hopes with Woltemade
Atlético de Madrid legend Paulo Futre has praised Nick Woltemade, the Stuttgart striker who is of interest to the Rojiblancos. In statements to a German media outlet, Futre described the young striker as a player with a bright future, even envisioning his possible arrival at the Metropolitano.
Futre compared Woltemade to Patrik Schick in his early days, highlighting his versatility to play both as a ‘9’ and in other attacking positions. ‘He has everything to be a superstar in the future,’ said the Portuguese, highlighting his young age and potential.
Woltemade, it is known, would be delighted with the possibility of playing in La Liga and wearing the Rojiblanca shirt. Atlético has already held talks with Stuttgart, who would be willing to transfer him for a figure close to 20 million euros, although Correa’s departure would have to be finalised first.
In addition to talking about Woltemade, Futre analyzed the state of the German national team, praising the work of young coach Nagelsmann and highlighting the talent of Leroy Sané, his favorite player in the German team. Regarding Cristiano Ronaldo, Futre praised his ability to continue making a difference, even playing as a pure ‘9’.
