Atletico Madrid makes history in Prague with their biggest European win
Atletico Madrid convincingly beat Sparta Prague at the Generali Arena (0-6) in a match that already forms part of the club’s history.
The goals of Julian Alvarez (2), Correa (2), Llorente and Griezmann, along with Oblak finishing the game with a clean sheet, make the match played in the Czech capital the biggest away win in Champions League history for Atletico Madrid and equal the biggest overall, sealed last year against Celtic at the Metropolitano.
The Prague win is not only the biggest away win in Champions League history, but also in all European competitions played by the red and white team. Two protagonists of that victory in Russia, Correa and Griezmann, scored again this Tuesday in Prague in a match that, as we said, already forms part of the history of Atletico Madrid.
