José Bordalás, coach of Getafe, showed a bleak outlook ahead of the Copa del Rey match against Atlético Madrid. The Getafe manager acknowledged that his team has ‘very few chances’ of eliminating the Rojiblancos in the quarterfinals.
Bordalás highlighted Atlético’s quality, describing them as a ‘great team’ with two Champions League-level lineups, and admitted that playing at the Metropolitano adds an extra layer of difficulty.
Despite this, the Getafe coach assured that the team remains ‘full of illusion’ to achieve a victory that, since Diego Simeone’s arrival at Atlético, has eluded them. Bordalás concluded by stating that they will give their all, while remaining realistic about the daunting task ahead.
