Atleti on the Trail of Young Talent Gouveia
Atlético de Madrid, always attentive to the future, has set its sights on Miguel Gouveia, a promising 17-year-old goalkeeper from Sporting de Portugal. The Rojiblancos have been closely following the young talent for some time, monitoring his performances both in the Youth League and in matches with the Portuguese U-19 national team.
Gouveia, who will turn 18 in September, has stood out for his great projection and potential between the posts. Although Atleti faces competition from important clubs in England and Italy, the interest of the club from the Metropolitano is firm.
Gouveia is expected to continue for one more season at Sporting, where he feels comfortable and valued. His current contract includes a release clause of 30 million euros, a figure that, for the moment, does not represent an insurmountable obstacle for Atleti, who are confident in their options.
