Atlético de Madrid face Elche in Copa del Rey 2024-25 eighth-finals
The Copa del Rey 2024-25 is heating up. The eighth-finals will be played at 14, 15 and 16 of January, and Atlético de Madrid, one of the most in-form teams in Spain, will face Elche, one of the two surviving Second Division clubs.
Elche surprised in the round of 32 by eliminating Las Palmas. The draw has also set up other interesting matches, such as Real Madrid-Celta and Barcelona-Betis. Athletic will defend its title against Osasuna at San Mamés, while Real Sociedad will host Rayo Vallecano.
Almería will face Leganés. Teams must be careful with the underdogs still in the competition, such as Pontevedra and Ourense, who have proven to be giant-killers in this edition of the Copa del Rey.
