Miguel Ángel Gil Marín to lead new ECA Fan Working Group
Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, CEO of Atlético de Madrid, will lead the new Fan Working Group of the European Club Association (ECA). Gil Marín, a member of the ECA’s Executive Committee and UEFA’s Executive Committee, as well as LaLiga’s first vice president, was appointed as part of the ECA’s commitment to fostering stronger relationships between clubs and their support groups.
The ECA’s last meeting in 2024 allowed for an annual review of the association’s activities, which now represents 728 members and has grown 66% compared to the end of last year. Among them, its central role in the reform of UEFA’s men’s competitions for the 2024-2027 cycle and women’s competitions for 2025-2030 and solidarity payments of approximately 308 million euros annually.
