Simeone Calls Up 25 Players for the Copa del Rey
Diego Pablo Simeone, coach of Atlético de Madrid, has announced the squad for the Copa del Rey match against Getafe, to be played this Tuesday, February 4. Among the 25 called-up players, the return of Javi Galán, who is back from injury, and the inclusion of Rodrigo de Paul, who has served his suspension, stand out.
The squad includes goalkeepers Jan Oblak, Juan Musso, and Antonio Gomis; defenders Nahuel Molina, César Azpilicueta, Robin Le Normand, Axel Witsel, Javi Galán, Clement Lenglet, José María Giménez, and Reinildo Mandava; midfielders Marcos Llorente, Pablo Barrios, Rodrigo de Paul, Koke Resurrección, Thomas Lemar, and Conor Gallagher; wingers Giuliano Simeone, Samuel Lino, Rodrigo Riquelme, and Rayane Belid; and forwards Antoine Griezmann, Julián Álvarez, Ángel Correa, and Alexander Sorloth. With 25 players called up, Simeone will have to make some cuts, as only 22 players are allowed in the Copa del Rey squad.
