Marbella-Atlético: La Rosaleda almost full for historic match
The Copa del Rey round of 16 match between Marbella and Atlético de Madrid, current leader of the Liga in the First Division, is approaching a sellout at La Rosaleda stadium. More than 27,000 tickets have been sold and there are around 3,000 left.
Atlético sold out the 1,500 tickets provided by the Marbella club and the feeling is that more people could be encouraged to attend. Marbella ended 2024 on a high note with an important victory over Recreativo at the Nuevo Colombino (1-3).
The visit of Atlético is always special and the debut of Diego Pablo Simeone as Atlético coach 13 years ago at La Rosaleda is remembered. Radomir Antic, one of the most important coaches in Atlético history and closely linked to Marbella, will be honored. The excitement generated by this Marbella-Atlético match is of great occasions and many believe it is the most important match in the club’s history.
