Atlético's B Team: Overflowing Passion at the Metropolitano
Atlético de Madrid fans once again demonstrated their unwavering support for the club’s future. Despite an unpleasant afternoon in Madrid, nearly 13,000 Colchoneros gathered at the Metropolitano to cheer on the B team in their match against Betis Deportivo.
The young Rojiblancos, led by Fernando Torres, felt the warmth of a dedicated fan base that filled the lower tier of the stadium. This impressive support surpassed the previous record attendance for an academy match, set in an exciting Youth League match against Genk.
Several players who shone in that European match, such as Boñar, Kostis, Julio, David Muñoz, Niño, Abde, and Esquivel, were again part of the squad, demonstrating the promising future that awaits them in the Rojiblanca Academy. The final draw did not dampen the celebration in the stands, where the fans showed their confidence in the youth project and their desire to see the B team fighting for the playoff, hoping to soon repeat the experience of playing in front of their fans at the Metropolitano.
