Elche and Levante: A Talisman for Atlético?
Atleti, history repeats itself! Elche and Levante, two old acquaintances, return to Primera División and, with them, an aura of good omen for our colors. Remember Elche’s last promotion? It was the prelude to the glorious 20/21 League! That agonizing victory at the Martínez Valero, with a penalty missed in extremis by Elche, was a key turning point.
And what about Levante, a rival who always tests us? In 13/14, their victory in Valencia made us tremble, but in the end we lifted the title! And in 20/21, they complicated our lives with a draw and a defeat, including that painful 0-2 at the Metropolitano.
But beware, that League was also ours! So, although Levante is our ‘bete noire’, it seems that their presence in Primera comes with a star. Elche, with their recent promotion, revives the memory of the 20/21 League, where the tight victory against them was vital. Now, with both back in the top flight, the rojiblanca fans dream of repeating feats. Let’s give it our all, Atleti!
