Former Atlético de Madrid players show optimism for team's chances in the Club World Cup
At a ceremony at the official Atlético de Madrid store on Gran Vía, former players Roberto Solozábal, Juanfran Torres, and Marcelino spoke about the team’s chances in the Club World Cup under Diego Simeone’s leadership.
All three expressed optimism about the team’s current state and its ability to compete for the title. Solozábal said the team has the quality to fight and that if the players give 100%, Atlético can compete with anyone for all titles.
Juanfran highlighted the quality of signings like Julián Alvarez and Sorloth, and said the team is better than ever. Marcelino recalled that when Atlético has been champion, there has always been a special atmosphere and a great group, and that this year there is. All three are convinced that Atlético is capable of reaching the final and winning it.
