Almeida swaps the Metropolitano for the Ruta de la Plata
The Mayor of Madrid, a well-known Atlético de Madrid fan, was the speaker at the Zamora Holy Week, an event organized by the ‘Club La Opinión-El Correo de Zamora’.
In a gesture that reflects his sporting spirit and closeness, Martínez-Almeida received a very special gift from Zamora CF, a team that plays in the Primera Federación and dreams of promotion to the Second Division.
At the Ramos Carrión theater, the mayor symbolically exchanged the red and white of Atleti for that of Zamora, receiving a personalized shirt with his name and the number 10.
But the surprise did not end there, as he was also presented with an adorable Zamora CF ‘onesie’ for his future son, a detail that surely touched the leader.
Despite his passion for Atleti, Almeida joked about the familiarity of the colors, red and white, which both teams share, assuring that he will feel at home wearing the Zamora shirt through the streets of Madrid.
