Atlético B Strengthens its Future Bet in Alcalá
Great news for the Rojiblancos’ youth academy! Atlético de Madrid has confirmed that Atlético B will move to the Alcalá de Henares training ground starting in the 2025-2026 season. This strategic move represents a significant step forward in consolidating the club’s future.
The Cerro del Espino is thus abandoned. The decision will allow the reserve team to train and play in top-level facilities, sharing space with the women’s team and other youth teams.
One of the most significant advantages of this change is that the team, coached by Fernando Torres, will enjoy training and matches on natural grass, a substantial improvement over the artificial turf of Cerro del Espino.
In addition, Atlético B will play their matches in the main field of the training ground, with a capacity of 2,685 spectators, the same one where the women’s team plays. This change will not only improve training and playing conditions, but also strengthen team identity and spirit.
