Atlético Man Joins Garitano at Sporting
Asier Garitano, the new coach of Sporting de Gijón, has added Pedro Hernández, a professional with a past at Atlético de Madrid, to his coaching staff. Hernández, who until now was the assistant coach at CUC Villalba, Atlético’s second reserve team, joins the Asturian team to contribute his experience and knowledge.
His professional career has been linked to Garitano since their beginnings at Castellón, where they coincided. Later, Hernández was part of Zinedine Zidane’s technical team at Real Madrid, performing scouting and rival analysis tasks.
Garitano already relied on him during his spells at Leganés and Tenerife, which demonstrates the confidence he places in his work. Alongside Queco Piña and Miguel Pérez, Hernández completes the team that will help Garitano reverse the current situation of Sporting and take them to the top.
The arrival of Hernández, with his experience at Atlético and his football knowledge, is seen as an important reinforcement for the Sporting project. His connection with Garitano and his professional career are a guarantee to contribute to the team’s success.
