Thibaut Courtois, former goalkeeper of Atlético de Madrid, has expressed his admiration for Diego Simeone, highlighting his positive impact during his time as a rojiblanco player. In a recent interview, Courtois described Simeone as a “special” coach and highlighted his ability to motivate players.
The goalkeeper fondly recalled how Simeone and Mono Burgos conveyed confidence to him before important matches, even before a final against Real Madrid, where the team had not beaten them for years.
