'Cholo' Simeone insists on 'Cuti' Romero
Atlético de Madrid has two main objectives to strengthen its squad, and one of them is the Argentinian defender ‘Cuti’ Romero. Apparently, Cholo Simeone is putting all his effort into convincing the player, just as he did with Julián Álvarez.

Argentine sources suggest that Romero would be willing to join Atlético, but the main obstacle is reaching an agreement with Tottenham, the club that values him at around 60 million euros.
Negotiating with Tottenham is not an easy task, although there are good relations between both clubs. Atlético is confident that the player’s desire to change scenery after his time in England will be a determining factor in completing the signing.
