Farewell Colchoneras: Tribute to Ajibade, Moraza, Cardona and Barth
Atlético de Madrid is preparing to bid farewell to four key players from their women’s squad: Rash Ajibade, Ainhoa Moraza, Marta Cardona and Merle Barth. The club will pay tribute to these footballers in their last home game against Levante Badalona.
The most emotional farewell is that of Ajibade, the talented Nigerian forward who arrived in 2021 and became the team’s top scorer with 40 goals in 138 games, being part of the Spanish Super Cup in 2021 and the Copa de la Reina in 2023.
Moraza, a tireless full-back, is also saying goodbye after becoming a key player on the right side since her arrival in 2022. Cardona, after 63 games as a Colchonera, is embarking on a new professional challenge on and off the field.
Finally, Barth, captain of the team, is saying goodbye after overcoming a complicated injury, leaving an indelible mark in the locker room. These four players will be remembered for their dedication, professionalism and for contributing to Atlético’s recent successes.
The club thanks them for their dedication and wishes them the best in their future projects. Without a doubt, their legacy will remain in the memory of the Colchoneros fans, who will remember them with affection and admiration.
