Coudet exalts Simeone's figure before the clash against Atlético
Alavés coach Eduardo Coudet lavished praise on his compatriot Diego ‘Cholo’ Simeone, calling him the “most representative” Argentine coach of the last 10-12 years. In his appearance before the match between Alavés and Atlético, Coudet highlighted Simeone’s impressive career at the head of the rojiblanco club.
“There is total admiration on my part. What he has done at Atlético is impressive, you only have to see how it was when he arrived and now. Being so long at such a big club has enormous merit,” said ‘Chacho’.
Regarding the match, Coudet anticipates “a great game at home” where they will seek to add the three points. He stressed the importance of making themselves feel strong playing at home and maintaining the intensity they have shown so far.
The Alavés coach also emphasized the need to sustain the physical effort throughout the game, from the first minute to the end, and is confident that the players who come off the bench will maintain the pace. He reported that Carles Aleñá “is doing well” for the match, while the situation of Joan Jordán is more in doubt. Finally, he was satisfied with the performance of the pair Santi Mouriño and Facundo Garcés.
