Atlético Fine-Tunes Preparation with Eyes on Club World Cup
Atlético de Madrid continues its preparation for the Club World Cup, which kicks off in mid-June, with the hope of reaching the final. The team led by Diego Pablo Simeone trained this Friday at Cerro del Espino, in a session marked by the absence of international players.
Key players such as Oblak, Molina, Giménez, Le Normand, De Paul, Correa, and others are with their national teams. In training, Simeone could not count on Pablo Barrios, who is still recovering from a throat problem, although he is expected to be ready for the debut against Paris Saint Germain on June 15.
El Cholo took advantage of the session to organize a practice match in which he mixed first-team players with youth players. One team lined up with Musso, Llorente, Witsel, Kostis, Azpilicueta, Riquelme, Koke, Lemar, Carlos Martín, Griezmann, and Lino.
The other team included Javi Galán, Reinildo, and young promises from the academy like Seidu and Javi Boñar. The team is working intensely to arrive in optimal condition for the tournament and bring joy to the Rojiblancos fans.
