Sorloth saves Atlético in Simeone's 700th game
Atlético de Madrid achieved a dramatic 2-1 victory over Deportivo Alavés in Diego Simeone’s 700th game as coach. The red-and-whites started cautiously and were surprised by an early Alavés goal.
In the second half, Simeone shook up the team with the introduction of his son Giuliano and Sorloth, who scored the equalizer from the penalty spot and the winner in stoppage time. Alavés, very serious and united, defended their lead well until misfortune and Sorloth crossed their path.
