Atleti Back to Work Amidst Setbacks
Atlético de Madrid returned to training this Monday, after a few days of rest granted by Simeone. However, the return to work was affected by problems caused by a widespread blackout that impacted transportation.
Several players, including Julián Alvarez, De Paul, Llorente, and Gallagher, as well as members of the staff, could not arrive on time to Cerro del Espino due to flight delays and cancellations.
Many players took advantage of the free weekend to travel outside of Madrid, enjoying destinations such as Ibiza and Andalusia, and even abroad. This blackout caused considerable logistical chaos, making it difficult to return to the capital.
Despite having traveled to Naples to visit his son Giovanni, Simeone did manage to return in time to lead the session. However, the training was conditioned by the numerous absences and the fact that some of the players present arrived at Cerro after suffering significant delays in their journeys. El Cholo and the rest of the team are already working thinking about the next challenges, hoping to recover all the troops as soon as possible and show again the claw that characterizes Atleti.
