Atlético's Rojiblanco Talent Headed to U-20 World Cup
Great news for the Rojiblancos youth academy! Rayane, Julio Díaz, and Boñar, key players for Atlético B, have been called up by Paco Gallardo for the Spanish U-20 national team, preparing for the World Cup to be held in Chile.
These three young talents, who almost led Atlético B to the promotion playoffs to Segunda, now have the opportunity to shine on the international stage representing Spain.
Rayane and Julio Díaz, European U-19 champions less than a year ago (Boñar missed the tournament due to an injury), are regulars in the national team’s youth categories and now aim to leave their mark at the U-20 World Cup.
Their potential has not gone unnoticed by Paco Gallardo, who has called them to participate in the training sessions and technical talks that will take place in Alfaz del Pi at the end of May.
Of the 27 pre-selected players, Rayane, Julio Díaz, and Boñar are emerging as serious candidates to be part of the final list that will travel to Chile. A source of pride for Atlético de Madrid, which, along with Real Madrid and Betis, is the club with the most representation in this call-up!
