Medina: A Defender with Colchonero DNA in Sight
Atlético de Madrid plans to strengthen its defense for the upcoming season, prioritizing the left-back position and two central defenders. In this context, Facundo Medina, an Argentine defender from Lens, emerges as an attractive alternative. At 25 years old, Medina has bid farewell to Lens, the club he joined in 2020, and is seeking new horizons in Europe.
The French club, grateful for his services, would facilitate his departure with a good offer, estimated between 20 and 25 million euros.
Although River Plate and Olympique de Marseille have also shown interest, Atlético de Madrid sees in Medina a player with defensive prowess and, above all, left-footedness, a characteristic that Simeone highly values for building from the back on that side.
