Atlético Fine-Tunes Aim at the Metropolitano
Atlético de Madrid is preparing to host Rayo Vallecano at the Metropolitano, aiming to get back on the winning track after the last match. Diego Simeone led the final training session, counting on the entire squad, including Pablo Barrios, who rejoined the group after individual preparation.
The focus is on the possible starting lineup. In the tactical rehearsal, Antoine Griezmann was not in the starting eleven, with Alexander Sorloth repeating as Julián Alvarez’s partner in the attack.
Another novelty would be the inclusion of Clement Lenglet in defense instead of José María Giménez, alongside Le Normand, Llorente and Javi Galán. Rodrigo de Paul, recovered from his injury, could also return to the midfield alongside Barrios, leaving out Koke Resurrección.
The possible starting eleven that Cholo tested would be formed by Oblak in goal; Llorente, Le Normand, Lenglet and Galán in defense; Giuliano, De Paul and Barrios in midfield; and Julián Alvarez and Sorloth in attack. The team will concentrate before the match in the usual hotel, from where they will go to the Metropolitano for a key match in LaLiga.
