Molina's Future at Atlético: A Change of Scenery?
Nahuel Molina’s future at Atlético de Madrid is up in the air, although the club is not actively seeking his departure. However, the management is willing to listen to offers for the Argentine full-back, whose prominence in Simeone’s plans has diminished.
Several clubs, especially in Italy, have shown interest in Molina. The Rojiblancos’ sports management has been exploring the market for right-backs for some time, anticipating a possible departure.
Despite having participated in 40 games this season, Molina has only started in 22, highlighting a change of role compared to previous seasons, where he was a regular in the starting eleven. His performance has been irregular, alternating brilliant moments with less prominent ones.
Although Molina has the support of the dressing room and is appreciated for his commitment, some of the fans have shown some impatience. Atlético hopes to receive offers exceeding 25 million euros for the player, especially from Serie A, where Juventus has already shown interest.
In the event of Molina’s departure (and the already confirmed one of Azpilicueta), the club would seek to strengthen the position with the incorporation of two new full-backs. Names like Areso (Osasuna) and Aramburu (Real Sociedad) have been mentioned, although options outside La Liga are also being considered.
