Atleti Fine-Tunes Preparation for the Club World Cup

Attention, Rojiblancos! Atlético de Madrid already has its sights set on the Club World Cup, an exciting challenge that awaits us in the United States. After closing a league season 24/25, our players are preparing to face this important tournament.

However, the road will not be easy. The international commitments of a dozen of our players will hinder the joint preparation of the team. Players not called up with their national teams will enjoy a well-deserved vacation until the 2nd, the date of return to training.

For internationals, especially the five Argentinians – Ángel Correa, Nahuel Molina, Giuliano Simeone, Rodrigo De Paul, and Julián Álvarez – the situation is more complex. The club is in contact with the federations, but as these are FIFA dates, the possibility of them joining the team earlier is limited.

Atleti will travel to Los Angeles on the 10th. Before that, from the 2nd to the 10th, training will take place at Cerro del Espino. The schedule of matches in the United States is already defined: the 15th against PSG, the 19th against Seattle Sounders, and the 23rd against Botafogo.

In Los Angeles, the team will stay at the luxurious Conrad Hotel, an oasis in the cultural heart of the city. Training will take place at the emblematic L.A. Coliseum Memorial, a historic venue that has hosted world-class sporting and cultural events.

After the Club World Cup, our players will enjoy their well-deserved vacation, a total of 21 days. Depending on the team’s performance in the tournament, the start of LaLiga 25/26 is likely to be delayed, forcing them to make up matchdays later. Come on, Atleti, let’s give it our all in this Club World Cup!
