Diego Simeone, coach of Atlético de Madrid, has reached a historic milestone by playing 500 LaLiga matches. El Cholo, who has managed the team for many years, expressed his gratitude to his technical staff, players, directors, and especially his family for their unconditional support.
During his tenure, Simeone has achieved 306 wins, 112 draws, and 82 losses, with a total of 845 goals scored and 386 conceded. ‘We look at the present, but I am very happy about this journey,’ he said after the 2-0 victory against Mallorca.
Simeone emphasized the importance of his family, without whose support ’this is impossible,’ and acknowledged the legacy of players like Gabi, Tiago, Miranda, Juanfran, and Filipe, who laid the foundations for the team’s success.
