Thank you for everything, warriors! A Rojiblanco Farewell
Atlético de Madrid Women closed the Liga F season with a match against Levante Badalona in Alcalá de Henares, a match without qualifying significance, as both teams had their objectives fulfilled.
The Rojiblancas, with qualification for the Champions League already secured after a brilliant season, are now focusing their energies on the Copa de la Reina final against Barcelona, to be played on June 7 in Huesca.
But this match had a bittersweet taste, as it meant the farewell of four players who have proudly defended the Atlético shirt: Marta Cardona, Rasheedat Ajibade, Ainhoa Moraza and Merle Barth. The club confirmed that they will not continue in the project next season.
Cardona, Barth and Moraza joined the team in 2022, celebrating together the conquest of the Copa de la Reina. Ajibade, for her part, arrived a year earlier and added a Spanish Super Cup to her record. The Atlético fans had the opportunity to give them a well-deserved ovation and thank them for their dedication and professionalism during their time at the club. We wish them the best in their future challenges!
